Some of the first cooking videos (yes they were videos back then) I remember my dad watching was the Julia Childs series that he imported from America – quite a big deal back then! Fast forward quite a few years and here we are photographing Julia’s now famous Boeuf Bourguignon made just as she instructs. Chatting to Ilse (of Food Fox fame) about the preparation of this stew and it sounds like quite a labour of love, but sometimes that’s what you want on a cold winter weekend with plenty of red wine flowing – hey, you had to open the bottle, Julia’s recipe needs it
