The one thing I always want to show in a maternity shoot is the relationship between mom and dad as well as parents and bump It feels like we’re setting the scene for little babs to make his grand entrance into – the backstory if you like Kirsten and Michael are a special story with an extra special little man on the way – I just can’t WAIT to meet him!!

I know that Liza and Scott are going to cherish the memories of their summer wedding day not least because it will always be their sunny reminder of South Africa while they’re back in Europe braving the English weather It was a perfect afternoon on the Atlantic Coast for them – sun, sea and sparkling wine with their loved ones… What a way to start married life! Liza and Scott – I hope you guys love the photos p.s Liza you have the best smile in the world, happy girl!!

Sam and Malcolm, what can I say – you guys are legendary!! ‘Fun’ doesn’t even begin to cover it all! I know it felt like the hottest day on the planet but I think the photos just show you two looking radiant and that’s the way I remember it! Maybe I should move to Europe where soft overcast days like this grace most of the week…  Such beautiful light for this lovely family shoot, moody but gentle. Tanya and her gorgeous growing family were brave enough to photograph on a windy beach in between gusts of oncoming rain to get these shots and I am so thrilled they were so game – love love love Being a maternity and family photographer herself I think Tanya also knows what goes in to getting the perfect shot! I love winter shoots – provided it’s not raining – the light is so low and has such a cool and gentle quality to it. And the light is everything to a beautiful shot. When we finally met up for Clarissa and Rainer’s Lovebirds engagement shoot (yes rain, no rain, yes rain, no rain) the light was a perfect glow off the beach. I really need to use the word ‘suffusion’ here! So off we set, some happy lovebirds and a happy camera to spend the rest of the afternoon making happy photos Clarissa and Rainer, I can’t wait for your stunning Rockhaven wedding and I’m already holding thumbs for more of this gorgeous light for you!
