The count down has begun for Celeste and her soon-to-be-bigger little family In a few days they’ll welcome the newest member to the growing brood and spend lots of time getting to know him or her from the toes up! She really wanted to have the shoot before the birth to document them how they are now, just the three together…  Such a special time for them now…

Do you remember the family shoot we did on the Caledon wheat farm earlier in the year? Well can you believe another six months has flown by and here we are photographing gorgeous Callum for his first birthday?! He let his Mom and Dad have a pic or two with him as well Bron & Louis, sjo you guys did well with this little heart stealer!!

I meet so many amazing people doing what I do – Carika and Ruan are my shining example! SUCH a wonderful pair these two make I love how playful this session was with them and how it’s so obvious they’re meant to be together  Ruan is such a romantic guy! See the puzzle he had made for Carika as part of a treasure hunt that ended in a proposal…sigh. The puzzle was made by the amazing Anelle of Seven Swans - I’m so excited to see her stationery for the wedding! #lovemyjobbigtime. I hope you love the photos, you two joined souls and I can’t wait for your big, beautiful day in December!!

I have never ever full stop met such a happy little chappy! For the whole shoot he was just smiling and laughing and playing with the blossoms – what a model Nelene and Martinus, you are blessed with such a super little baba – Happy 1st birthday sweet Niel!

In the words of one of my best Afrikaans friends ‘Ag my moeder!’ Isn’t he the cutest???

Some photos of the amazingly beautiful farm Stettyn just outside Villiersdorp. There is so much going on here – from wine to fruit and sheep to grains – and if they weren’t busy enough they also support the local Stettyn school and creche on the farm as well as helping out with leopard tracking projects (sorry, no leopard photos ) and keeping game on the mountain. Phew!

How much do I love family shoots, then add to that an orchard full of pear blossoms, a cute miniture Jack Russell and a model chock full of smiles for me  - a photographer’s dream day out! With my own immediate and extended family full of girls, it was a treat to take shots of such a gorgeous little tyke! Dungarees and all
