What a beautiful end to a beautiful tale of love and laughter(!) That is just Simoné and Anwar all over! Since their Lovebirds engagement shoot I’ve been looking forward to their fun-filled wedding day and when I heard Pancakes was set to walk down the aisle as the ring-bearer I knew this was going to be a Simoné classic! The whole day was put together with the usual expert precision and incredible attention to detail of Nadia Strauss from 4 Every Event (I like to think of her as one of the Western Cape’s doyennes of the wedding industry :-) ). This really was a unique day – enjoy the photos…

Tom, Tom the Farmer’s son stole our hearts and away did run! This little chap is quite possibly the visual definition of cute! He lives with his two dogs and two parents on a beautiful farm in the heart of the Overberg and is the 9th generation to do so! He loves nothing more than tractors (except maybe his Mom!) and lives in a constant state of motion :-D  What a piece of history he is living. The house dates back to 1777 and the farm itself is even older. I count myself very lucky to tell a small piece of this story with these photos. Enjoy!

This couple is fun with a capital F-U-N!!! We met at Surfer’s Corner in Muizenberg, Cape Town for some shots near the beach and at the deliciously lovely bakery, Knead. Simoné just kept me laughing the whole time – between her and handsome-hubby-to-be Anwar (and their totally photogenic pooch, Pancakes) my camera didn’t get put down for two minutes! You can see this amazing relationship between them – it’s a gorgeous thing. I can’t wait for their wedding in February… Enjoy the pics!

How much do I love family shoots, then add to that an orchard full of pear blossoms, a cute miniture Jack Russell and a model chock full of smiles for me  - a photographer’s dream day out! With my own immediate and extended family full of girls, it was a treat to take shots of such a gorgeous little tyke! Dungarees and all :-)

The Shuntin Shed is a fabulous pizza shack on the Bot River train station a few minutes drive off the N2. Jen and Warren chose this for their pre-wedding dinner to have some time to chat with family and friends, many of whom had flown in from overseas for their big day! I love this place and I LOVE their pizzas, both for their rustic homeliness and no-nonsense laid back charm. We had such fun shooting a quick Lovebirds session around the station – grungy, fun and unintentionally vintage  i.e. untouched since the 50′s :-) . Enjoy! Wedding Sneak Peek coming soon…
