It is with such a happy heart that I share Sarah and David’s photos of their big day!! What a phenomenally fun couple this is and a total treat for me to photograph! Sarah and David went the extra mile for their wedding – quite literally ;-) as they and almost all their wedding guests flew in from the UK to celebrate in South African style at the ever wonderful South Hill, here in Elgin. Sarah spent a YEAR making 1000 origami paper cranes that hung around the tree for the ceremony – no-one tops that for dedication!! David and his besties got ready at the awesome Old Mac Daddy just over the road. Now I’m not a girl that was born with the shoe obsessed gene but Sarah’s Jimmy Choo’s may be my all time exception – woah!!

You lovely two, I hope you love the photos a tenth of the amount that I loved being there and photographing your absolutely wonderful day! Thank you!

Expertly assisted by the wonderful Kristi Agier.

So many of you may have heard my camera saga already – the story of how I arrived to shoot an engagement session with a gorgeous overseas couple, took off my lens to change it and a big chunk of camera guts literally fell out onto the floor with a sickening whomp… A photographer’s worst nightmare… equipment failure… Well this is the couple and here is the shoot that followed, captured completely on my little old 7D crop frame back up camera. I couldn’t have wished this to happen with a more understanding couple – Sarah and David, you guys are stratospherically awesome!! Not only that but you’re crazy fun too, so I should have been sobbing, but spent the next two hours laughing my sides sore, even through the driving rain. What a day!! :-) Shot at the ever gorgeous and quirky Old Mac Daddy trailer park.

Oh I love the warm, playful heart of this wedding!!! Old Mac Daddy was such a perfect backdrop for Nics and Andrew’s big day – as fun, fresh and outdoorsy as they are! 4 Every Event really pulled out the stops and the decor, flowers and summery colour palette were a dream for my camera #clickhappy :-D SO much effort was put into the details – did you see all the gorgeous stationery done by the bride herself?? Nics and Drew, what can I say – match made in heaven isn’t even enough to describe what you two have, but it’s a good place to start…

Right, are you ready for some Maths? Nics + Andrew +  Old Mac Daddy = Aaaaawesome :-D Choosing just one sneak peek was harder than calculus! More pics coming soon…

Tam & Jim were out from the UK for a flying visit to Elgin to finalise their plans for a beautiful Rockhaven  wedding later this year and we managed to squeak in a super quick couple shoot on the way before they headed off on their travels again! The world really is such a global village as they say!! I love these happy two – I don’t think we stopped chatting for all of five minutes :-D Tam and Jim, roll on the November loveliness and I hope you can still remember the warm African sun sitting in snowy England! Txx

Some weddings are just so full of emotion – beautiful, happy, honest, open emotion… This was one of those. Heather and Ryan were married on the beautiful Elgin farm Valley Green and celebrated outside the homestead under the stars… In between the tears, speeches and bear hugs it couldn’t have been more apparent how much these two are meant to be together. What a day and what a party!! Pop on over to see the pics from their photo booth here – HILARIOUS!! :-D

Karen and Doug were so lucky to have family friends willing to let them use their ‘backyard’ for their gorgeous wedding – oh, and what a backyard!! Windermere is one the most beautiful farms in Elgin with view, lakes, orchards and a garden that is a lifetime achievement! Karen sent me a moodboard months ago showing what she wanted the day to look like and the talented team at 4 Every Event brought her vision to life down to the smallest detail. What a perfect day for these two lovebirds! They were lucky enough to have Gordon Manuel from the Venue at South Hill to create the perfect menu and to top it all off they had the best ‘Best Man’ speech I have ever heard!! Douglas Lawrence Rupert Cherry, that is one phenomenal friend you have there :-D I hope you love the photos… :-) Assisted by the lovely Kristi Agier.
