If this wasn’t my busiest time of year I would love to be on holiday spending idle hours on the beach and cooking up lots of deliciousness with my family chatting around the table. This hearty seafood extravaganza of a soup would be high up on the list of recipes to make! Earthy and tangy with a fresh zing of lemon and parsley – scrummy!! I’m not sure why but one of my best memories from living in England for all those years was of having fish and chips on a cold, pebbly Brighton beach with my mother who was visiting us from sunny SA. We sat in the freezing wind, watching a bleak and grey-dull sea, feeding the seagulls the last of our hot, salty, vinegary, plumply battered fish and chips from Bankers – the best chippy on the South Coast (in my humble opinion). It seems another world now that we are back on home shores, but this recipe for me is a way to relive that little moment of everyday happiness – so simple and so perfect. I could just eat sushi every day! Yuuum! These are a few marketing shots for the lovely Lemon Butta’s Sushi menu – made right in front of you by their in-house sushi genius. As always, one of the perks of food shoots is noshing the deliciousness afterwards :-D

I know this is an old ‘un, but for the sake of mixing it up on the new blog I thought I would have a bit of a nostalgic post today. These are photos I took last year for the totally awesome ‘Gordon Manuel @ the Venue’. Gordon and Emma are based at the wine farm South Hill in the Elgin Valley and their delicious, lick-your-plate-clean food will blow you away! Guys out there – Gordon has a way with meat second to none - - don’t say I didn’t tell you!
