This is the perfect cake for your Easter weekend with a full house! Not only is it totally delicious, but the syrup mix keeps it moist for days. Two ticks to start! Have a read through the The Food Fox’s recipe here on the gorgeous wedding and lifestyle blog The Pretty Blog. Wishing you all such a lovely Easter with your families and happy egg-hunting!

I never think to make my own pâté – it’s one of those things like meringues that I always just buy. Unlike meringues though, this recipe is easy peasy lemon squeezy and pretty fail proof (btw meringues and I don’t get on…). The thyme, brandy and cream really elevates this to a whole new level. I know not everyone loves chicken livers but I really think you should give this recipe a try. Head on over to the super Pretty Blog and check out the details here and be sure to swing by Ilse van der Merwe’s blog The Food Fox.

Have you signed up for the Pretty Blog’s newsletter yet? It gives you behind the scenes sneak peeks and loads of info on one of SA’s favourite wedding blogs! Here are some happy snaps from the last shoot for the Food Fox’s weekly column.

Now you may not be sure that fig and pizza are a combination you’ve heard of before, but that is what makes Ilse van de Merwe from the Food Fox so brilliant with food ideas – coupled with tangy goats cheese, onion marmalade and fresh rocket it’s divine!! This really is an ode to summer – give it a try please! The oh-so-lovely Pretty Blog has been hosting her weekly food column so if you haven’t seen it yet then check it out here… Enjoy the photos! (p.s these are my faves from the food shoots so far!)

Morning all! Did you see the absolutely scrumptious recipe by the oh-so-talented Food Fox on the Pretty Blog last week? That nutti-crust pie casing is the business!!! (For anyone not from RSA these are caramel oaty biscuits :-) ) This is the first in a new weekly recipe series on the Pretty Blog, so keep an eye out for more deliciousness.
