OK I have an admission to make – I was really skeptical about the Food Fox’s idea to make a crustless pear and almond tart. A tart with no pastry – isn’t that the best bit??? Well, how she proved me wrong and shame on me for doubting the ultimate domestic goddess in the kitchen!! This tart is the tea-time biz and so much quicker to make than the classic original! Classics are classic for a reason – obvious enough to say, but once you’ve made your own tarte tatin or dauphinoise potatoes or hollandaise sauce you really understand why these are the recipes that have never fallen into obscurity through the years – they are just too darn delicious!
