I know this post is actually about the Moroccan lamb and date tagine, but the amazing part of this recipe for me is the preserved lemon! In truth I have never really tried preserved lemon before now and WOW!!! It’s like a whole section of your palate has been wakened and the world of food seems to be a bit more of a blank canvas of possibilities than ever before. Waxing lyrical on a Monday morning ;-) All I can say is go make this wonderful Food Fox recipe and go buy some preserved lemon for it NOW!! OK I have an admission to make – I was really skeptical about the Food Fox’s idea to make a crustless pear and almond tart. A tart with no pastry – isn’t that the best bit??? Well, how she proved me wrong and shame on me for doubting the ultimate domestic goddess in the kitchen!! This tart is the tea-time biz and so much quicker to make than the classic original! There is a beautiful spiciness that makes this little baby irresistible! Find the super recipe here on her weekly column for the ever wonderful Pretty Blog.

I’m the hugest pasta fan (dancing girls with pom poms style!!) and I adore great ravioli! The clever Food Fox makes a wonderfully earthy and autumny version here with butternut, three cheeses, sage butter and crunchy, resinny little nuggets of pine nuts scattered over the whole thing – deeeeeeeelicioso!!! Find the recipe here on the inspiring Pretty Blog!

Here is a recipe to warm up some nostalgia on such a chilly day! The Food Fox made a traditional and wholesome apple pie for another collaboration with Poetry Stores – a chance to dip into one of their super cook books from their in-store range. This time it was Annie Bell’s Baking Bible. When I lived in the UK I often bought Country Living magazine that she contributes to regularly and I’m a big fan of Annie Bell’s down-to-earth recipes. Find this one here on the Food Fox’s blog. Scrummy!
