This awesome couple is getting married in Greyton next year – I just can’t WAIT!! They have horses on their farm and have already organised a carrot station for their wedding :-D My kind of peeps :-) Here’s a little sneak peek from their gorgeous Lovebirds engagement shoot here in beautiful Elgin…

So it was a gentle spring day with a salt-tanged breeze and gulls cawing overhead. Rene and Dirk wanted to shoot around the gorgeous Waterfront in Cape Town as that’s where he proposed and started this wonderful story off! There was a helicopter, a candlelit dinner and a diamond ring involved – sjo, that’s one romantic hubby-to-be!!!

Beautiful September light mixed with greys, blues and a touch of coral red made for sublimely happy and calm photographs. Enjoy!

Jacqui and Patrick are currently planning their beautiful wedding from different countries! Not even the distance between Aus and South Africa can dampen the bright spirits and radiant smiles of these two though… On their flying visit to the Cape we managed to literally squeeze in a few minutes to photograph a mini Lovebirds eshoot for them – I’m so glad we did!

This was also a great opportunity to bring out my new Sigma 50mm Art lens for a bit of a play – most of this shoot was taken with this little beauty at f1.8 – what a lens!!

When you have such radiant, happy faces on your screen all day editing becomes a pleasure :-) A sneak peek from gorgeous Jacqui and Patrick’s engagement shoot here in Elgin.

My job is essentially an incredibly optimistic one. There really is a lot of love and so many happy connections out there in the world that I get to see… I know a lot of life is hard and demanding, but it’s an amazing thing to be able to witness this energised and inspiring time in two peoples lives when they can’t hide their adoration for each other or how excited they are for their future. I know these two, Margot and Leonard, will carry that beautiful spirit forward into their marriage together.

Well, I thought it would be awesome to go ALL OUT on the colour fest element of these photos! Danielle and Neil met us in Woodstock to shoot some townscapes for the Lovebirds engagement shoot and nothing says urban to me more than grafitti and bright lights :-) Oh and the vintage Harley of his grandfathers was just the cherry on the top!!! I hope these photos bring a seriously warm and colourful smile to you on these cold days :-D

Ooooohhhh… a tiny sneak peek of the GORGEOUS Elaine and her wonderful husband-to-be Rudi on their Lovebirds engagement shoot. Crystals, sea blues and kisses…

On the last evening of summer we set out to photograph Pippa and Stuart’s Lovebirds engagement shoot – the beginning of their beautiful wedding photo story… The evening was indescribably glorious and we walked through the hills of Paul Cluver Wine Estate to capture some photos of the two of them together while they were down here in the Cape. These two seriously gorgeous lovebirds are getting married in December and we spent a few hours out on the Almenkerk wine estate farm photographing their beautiful Lovebirds engagement shoot. What a stunning afternoon and what a great chance to get them used to being in front of the camera before the big day :-D Andrea and Alex, December is on it’s way!

Ohhhh these two…. ahhhhh this light… a little sneak peek from Andrea and Alex’s Lovebirds engagement shoot.

Kerry, Nick and I spent an afternoon wandering through the beautiful outskirts of Elgin following the afternoon light, along the train tracks and up to the dam with its abandoned tennis courts. The gorgeous Overberg never disappoints! :-) I LOVE how relaxed the photos are (but also the dash of serious glamour with Kerry’s Charlize Theron beauty!! :-D). Kerry and Nick, bring on some March wedding loveliness back here in Elgin!! :-D
