It was such a treat to spend the afternoon with Selmari and Dirk and their little ‘Batbaby’ :-D It was a chilly and windy Kleinmond beach but they kept a brave face!! There is always something so radiant about maternity shoots and I hope we managed to capture a little bit of this in the gentle beach light. Selmari, thank you so much for all your help over the past years’ weddings we’ve done together and I can’t wait to meet your little boy soon!

Maybe I should move to Europe where soft overcast days like this grace most of the week… Such beautiful light for this lovely family shoot, moody but gentle. Tanya and her gorgeous growing family were brave enough to photograph on a windy beach in between gusts of oncoming rain to get these shots and I am so thrilled they were so game – love love love :-) Being a maternity and family photographer herself I think Tanya also knows what goes in to getting the perfect shot!
